about me

A Connecting Thread runs through all facets of my being — the art I’ve created, my academic research, the study and teaching of Cognitive Thinking Tools, and my creative writing.

Each of these expressions is rooted in deep observation, and all revolve around questions of identity and perception:
How do we see? How do we recognize a path as it unfolds before us? How do we read and receive the intertwined messages of text and image? And what is the inner thread that connects it all to a whole tapestry?

Today, this integrative approach guides not only my personal work but also the way I lead writing and reflection-based workshops.

children's Artist book

A Chair of One’s Own is a children's artist book that takes readers on an inner journey through the eyes of a young girl facing social isolation.  Her refuge is an old, carved chair in her grandmother’s house—a safe, comforting place that becomes her emotional anchor. With gentle guidance from her grandmother, the girl begins to connect with her inner sense of belonging and strength. From this inner place, she learns to generate calming thoughts and develops personal tools to face the challenges of alienation and bullying. Blending imagination with emotional insight, the story subtly introduces young readers to supportive practices drawn from Conscious Thought, Guided Imagery and Bibliotherapy tools.

Publishing

“Makqom” – A Place – is not just a book — it’s also a publishing house.

While writing my books, I had a moment of insight: everything I was working on revolved around one theme — the sense of place.

The children’s book Maqom in Hebrew or A Chair of One’s Own in English explores social exclusion and the search for a personal place. Another children’s book for toddlers also recounts a tale of how to develop that place. A novel for adults, centers around the longing to find one’s place in the world. And then... the lightbulb flickered: why not self-publish them all under that encompassing concept?

So there it is. The name of the publishing house had to be Makom!

So far, the first book is out, and two more are on the way.
Something to look forward to!
